Creativity has always been part of how I connect with the world. That’s why I studied Tapestry and Fine Art and became a teacher.

Over the years, working with neurodivergent children and their families sparked a deep desire in me to better understand autism, communication, and behaviour. That journey became my lifelong professional mission.

Artetypical brings together my love for art and my commitment to inclusion. Through creative sessions inspired by art therapy techniques, I help neurodivergent children express themselves, regulate emotions, and build self-confidence in a calm and supportive space.

As an inclusion specialist, I’ve spent more than two decades supporting children with diverse needs — and helping the adults around them to understand, connect, and support them with confidence and compassion.

At Artetypical, we believe every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and safe — and we would love to welcome your child into this journey.

Karolína Shipstead

I started painting very early on.

It has always been my go to tool when life got

a little messy or a little confusing for a little girl, then a teenager and eventually a grown up.

And along with making art a part of my life, I have always worked with kids.

So naturally I eventually connected the dots and started teaching art. And it works wonders.

17 years ago I co- founded a language school for kids where I run mostly art oriented programs for kids of all ages.

Artetypical is just another piece in my life puzzle because working with neurodivergent children makes the most sense for me considering what I can see art provides. Calmer mind, calmer soul, calmer life.
